History

Life on Ganību dambis has always been busy – starting from the town pasture grounds in the 13th century through to a leisure area inspired by nature with alley walks in the 18th century, and experimental construction and design element manufacturing in the 20th century.

In the close years, the distinctive and green thinking business quarter is being created. With reverence for the past, here we are turning to a modern approach with the future in mind.

Strengthening the connection to the old cultural space, the inspiration for the name VEIDAMA comes from the word “Weide”, which means “pastures” in German.
